Household Hazardous Waste

What is Household Hazardous Waste?
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) considers leftover household products such as paints, oils, cleaners, gasoline, batteries, pesticides, petroleum products, miscellaneous chemicals, etc. as hazardous wastes.  These wastes can catch fire, react or explode under certain circumstances, and can be corrosive or toxic; therefore, they need to be disposed of properly—NOT DOWN THE DRAIN!

What should you do with your Household Hazardous Waste?
